A team of students namely ' Brijesh Wala, Tejas Bhanusali, Pratik Manvar, Vinit Vora, and Bhargave Thesia' had participated and secured second postion with award of Rs, 20,000/- in a national level technical festival ''TECHEUREKA " 2018. They worked on project tittled " Low Impact Development for Strom water Management". The project was guided by Dr. Khadeeja Priyan, Head of Civil Engineering Department
Mr. Divye Shah (Final year student, IT Department) and his team received the Technology of the year award by GUSEC (Gujarat University Start-up and Entrepreneurship Council) on 11th March, 2018 at the launching event of Start-up and Innovation Policy. The award was presented by Shri. Suresh Prabhu, Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation Ministry, Govt. of India and Shri. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Higher Education Minister, Govt. of Gujarat.
Dr. Mukesh M. Bhesaniya, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, et al. has been granted US patent by United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on Oct. 31, 2017. The patent has been assigned Patent No. US 9,806,633 B2.

IEEE Computer Society is offering $40,000 in student scholarships from $1,000 and up to recognize and reward active student volunteer leaders in student branches or chapters who show promise in their academic and professional efforts. This scholarship was created in honor of the late Richard E. Merwin, past president of the IEEE Computer Society, to recognize and reward student leadership. Ashka Soni received $1000 for her contributions in IEEE Computer Society.
